Olivier De Schutter | United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food

Regional policy

What is the role of regional policies?

Regional groupings of countries can have major impacts on the right to food of their citizens and those of other areas of the world through their agriculture and trade policies.

The Special Rapporteur monitors these policies and their coherence with development goals, in order to ensure that the right to food is respected and realized.
