27 January 2010: Parliament, Hearing on the 'farm race' ; APPG Agriculture and Food for Development (London)

The United Kingdom Parliament is organising a hearing on the phenomenon of 'land-grabbing' at which a few experts will be speaking; the Special Rapporteur will be reacting and describing the human rights dimensions of the issue.

The presence of the Special Rapporteur will also be an opportunity to present to the media and the broader public the results of the inquiry about the future food policy of the UK. The report, called "Why no Thought for Food?", is the result of a year-long inquiry to which the Special Rapporteur contributed (All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Food and Agriculture for Development).
