The United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, Prof. Olivier De Schutter, will participate in the public hearing "Fair revenues for farmers: a better functioning food supply chain in Europe" organized by the EP Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development.
His intervention will focus on the impact of European food chain on the Right to Food, in Europe & beyond. This intervention comes in line with his report "Agribusiness and the right to food", which examines the role of commodity buyers, food processors and retailers in the realization of the right to food.
